Gramercy Christian School
A Quality Education Centered in God's Word

Fine Arts are valued greatly at Gramercy Christian School.  In Psalm 98:5 we are advised to “make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,” Choral music, instrumental music, art, drama, and speech are important in the education of a child.  Music especially enhances learning in so many ways.  In the elementary classes, students have music as a special class every week.  In addition, students may choose to take piano or strings (violin, viola, cello, guitar) lessons privately on campus between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.  Often students in 4th grade learn to play the recorder, and 5th and 6th graders may choose to play a wind instrument in a group setting.  Electives are offered to upper school students, depending on the individual schedule, who wish to participate in concert choir, drama, speech and art classes.  A praise and worship student group, including vocalists and instrumentalists, leads students in Chapel on Fridays.
